This series of photographs and accompanying narrative relate to three mature and spectacularly fine sycamore trees which are seen in this photograph across Urswick Tarn.  They are growing adjacent to the road over Daisy Hill.  This photograph was taken in April 2007 and illustrates that even without their foliage they add greatly to the winter villagescape and are worthy of the Tree Preservation Order granted for their protection.
